20 Months Later But Who's Counting? :)

We lost our house to one of worst hurricane like winter storms in the history of this area in Dec. of 2007 and have been living in a 1 BR apartment ever since. We sold that property in of Oct of 2008 and have been in the market for a house in Astoria ever since.

FINALLY after months of searching for the right home and waiting another 3 months to close we got the keys to our new 1,700 sq ft home yesterday.

Now we begin in earnest to do some remodeling (painting, redoing the floors, new deck, rain gutter, replaces the oil furnace with a gas one etc.) and hope to move in by the end of August.

It’s really unbelievable what we had to go through to get this point. I could write a 500 page book and all the stuff Jenny and I have learned over the last 20 months. In the end as frustrating as the process was I’m just grateful and thankful that I have been blessed with a new home.

I can’t wait to get it fixed up and move in. When we get done with it, it’ll be a beautiful home. Thanks Greg Cross. Here’s a big thank you to Chris LaPointe our Realtor and good friend for being with us throughout this whole long drawn out process and being so patient and professional.

IT’S A DONE DEAL! WE’RE HOME OWNERS AGAIN!
