Trump Supporters please... Multiple not Divide!

I doubt Trump supporters noticed that not once did he mention the word “Conservatives” in his acceptance speech Thursday at the convention nor did he do it Friday in his press conference, instead he chose to curb-stomp Cruz 3 separate times. He did however ask Bernie supporters to come jump on board, like that will happen, but not one encouraging word inviting in Conservatives.

It tells you how far Republican politics have gone off the tracks when a newly minted Republican nominee openly courts the most liberal members of the Democrat party instead of reaching out to the most Conservative in his own.

Just putting Cruz aside for a moment Trump has had 2 golden opportunities in as many days to unite the party. Instead of acting like an adult and inviting all Republicans to join the team so he could win in November he went into full on trash talk mode.

Why not invite the Conservatives to join him? His answer, he doesn't need Cruz's endorsement or in so many words the Conservatives either to beat Hillary. That’s an insane strategy of course because he'll surely need every voter he can get including Conservatives to have any chance in November.

The problem is and it’s his problem by the way, is he doesn’t give a hot damn about the Conservatives, it took him less than 24 hours to alienate them again with this stupid speech Friday. You CAN NOT blame the Conservative voters if Trump losses in November, his ego and his mouth will do it for him. I'm getting damn sick and tired of Trump supporters trying to shame me or other Conservatives and saying we’re traitors for not flying Trump's flag.

The Republican primary voters had 4 solid Conservatives to pick from in the 2016 race and anyone of them would have turned the country in the “right” direction with “Conservative Principles”.  If some of them choose not to vote for him, write someone else in or vote for the Libertarian based on upholding their principles I WILL NOT condemn them.

Why? Here’s brief political history lesson on the last 2 Presidential elections for those that have short memories.

In 2008 and 2012 we were essentially told by the establishment Republicans we had to ignore Conservative principles and vote for 2 moderate, left of center Republicans, RINO’s, whatever you choose to name them, so we could win an election. We were told by John McCain then Mitt Romney that a blanket amnesty was the solution to illegal immigration only because they both believed that Latinos and moderate Democrats would vote for them in the general.

Granted there were other important issues that didn’t help them, the wars in the Middle East, the Wall Street collapse, then the bank and auto bailouts and the reckless spending by the GOP congress leading up to 2006 when they lost control of the House, then the Senate in 2008. But to call these 2 men Conservatives is like calling Hillary and Bernie moderate Democrats.

In 2008 Rudy Giuliani or Tommy Thompson would have been great nominees, instead we were left with the detestable McCain. A man whose only conservative value was national defense but on everything else he was a card carrying Democrat. Don’t believe me? Take a long look at his career and congressional voting record.

McCain didn’t help himself by picking Sarah Palin as his running mate either. Tea Party folks may have liked the choice but I sure didn’t, she did far more to hurt his chances than help them. Her true colors and ego came shining through in the primaries in 2016 when she slammed Cruz then endorsed Trump. And she still calls herself Conservative, really? And my local Tea Party friends here in our County don’t understand why I don’t want to be labeled a Tea Party person.

In 2012 voters turned away from Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann in favor of Romney. Romney was pro-amnesty, pro climate change, anti-fossil fuel and had the Romneycare noose around his neck and spent the entire primary season defending it, instead of admitting it was an epic failure.

But still the establishment in the GOP insisted that these 2 men, that were for the most part RINO’s in every sense of the word, were the best we could do and that if Conservatives didn’t support them and vote for them we couldn’t win either election.

Well I ask Republicans today, how the hell did that work out for us? Did voting for 2 moderate Republicans in the primaries help us win an election?

This isn’t to say that either McCain or Romney would not have been better for the country than 8 years of Obama that’s blatantly obvious of course they would have. But the point is we’ve had the opportunity as Republicans to turn the party to the right in 3 consecutive election cycles and each time we’ve picked men who the establishment said we had to vote for to win the election. In 3 consecutive primary election cycles far too many Republicans didn’t have the nerve to back the best Conservative candidates. 3 times we’ve been asked as Conservatives to sell ourselves down the river for men that at best are blue dog or moderate Democrats. And of those 3 candidates Trump in my opinion is the biggest disaster of them all.

The lesson of history is that is that Republicans have not learned from the lessons of history. I however have a clear conscience; I’ve voted for Conservative candidates in 3 Presidential primary election cycles in a row. Why more Republicans didn’t have the courage to do the same isn’t my fault.

I have no choice once again but to vote for a very flawed man that isn’t worthy of the office and damn sure isn’t a Conservative. I’m completely and emotionally drained by this election and while voting for Trump in the general election makes me feel like I sold my soul in another election I won't be a Conservative that puts Hillary in the White House.

So please do me the favor Trump supporters and stop blaming and shaming Conservatives for the down fall of the US if some principled Conservatives that have a conscience don’t vote for him. THEY CAN NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR BAD CHOICE IN THE PRIMARY! And please stop the Ronald Reagan comparisons because they're revolting and insulting.

This is Trump’s election to win or lose that’s the bottom line. No one will be happier than me if Trump is a true man of his word and does what he says he’s going to do if he wins. I’ll happily eat crow if he does but he has to win the election first and if he doesn’t invite as many people as possible including Conservatives into his tent this fall Hillary will be our next President.

I hope the next time Republicans have the intellectual honesty and courage to vote for the most Conservative candidate instead of the cult of personality or a Trojan Horse.

The Santorum Banner Comes Down

Santorum is done, Romney isn't a better choice.

I'm taking down my Santorum for President Banner today. After yesterday’s primaries it’s apparent that he doesn’t have any hope of getting enough delegates to defeat Romney. If he loses in his home State of in Pennsylvania which he looks like he will he'll have to copulate. For a while I thought it would be a great idea but now I think he’d be very unwise to have a convention battle.

He must try to unite the party and avoid a fight at the convention. Not only will it divide the party but it’ll ruin him politically and kill any chance he may have if he plans to run in 2016. He ran an amazing campaign and he’s proven that there’s a sizable group of Conservatives that didn’t want another establishment Republican as President.

It can’t be stressed enough how Paul and Gingrich damaged any chances of him winning these later primaries. They should have stepped aside long ago and let Santorum battle it out with Romney. I know I have many friends who like Paul but I’m sorry he was NEVER an electable Libertarian and all he did was take votes that otherwise would have went to Santorum. Paul is an egomaniac that has a way higher opinion of himself than 90% of the party does. All he accomplished was being a tag team with Gingrich in dividing up the party.

I hope Paul is proud of himself for having such a negative effect in this election cycle. He knows very well that Santorum falls more in line with his believes at least as a fiscal conservative than Romney. If he had any self respect for himself, the party and the future of the country he should have understood this but he’s been in total denial about his ability to have mass appeal in the party. I feel like I could just explode with anger with how selfish and self centered both Paul and Gingrich have conducted themselves in this process.

At any rate it’s time to get behind Romney despite the noose of Romneycare that’s around his neck. If the Supreme Court rules that the individual mandate is unconstitutional this summer they’ll be doing him an enormous favor in the fall when he starts battling Obama.

Santorum is still my pick the GOP Nominee

Having watched the Arizona Republican Presidential Debate last night I’m just as convinced now as I have been from the very beginning that Rick Santorum should our next President. If it’s not Santorum then my choices in order would be Gingrich, Romney and lastly the moronic simpleton Paul.

I know the talking heads in the media especially on CNN will say Santorum lost the debate or that Romney knocked him down a peg or two. That’s NOT the case at all, Santorum is still the most Conservative candidate in the race and it’s the media not Santorum himself that have painted him as this right wing religious fanatic on the social issues. Just because he’s a principled Christian that doesn’t believe in abortion of gay marriage in no way reflects what kind of a leader he’ll be as President. While I personally have mixed feelings about both of these issues Santorum comes closest to my views of any of the candidates.

Ronald Reagan and John F Kennedy held the same views on these social issues and no one seemed to think that would cloud their judgment when it came to leadership qualities. I’ve said this many times, just because Santorum comes down on these social issues in this way doesn’t mean that Roe vs. Wade is somehow going to be overturned; any reasonable thinking person just knows this is impossible. There’s a huge divide on this issue so I wish voters would get this idea out of their heads that somehow Santorum if elected is going to be able to dictate social policy in the White House, convince congress and the Supreme Court to go along with his religious beliefs. This WILL NOT happen so get over it and disagree with his economic ideas if you want but stop buying this fantasy the main stream media and the Democrat party is trying to coerce you with.

The MSM wants more than anything to have Romney as the nominee. The reason is very simple; Obama will lay him out on the table and slaughter him in a million pieces in the general. Why? Because of Romneycare, it’s like a noose around his neck that he’ll never shake and if he gets the nomination Obama will use it like a chainsaw on him. The biggest mistake Romney has made politically is not backing off the idea that Romneycare was a total disaster and that the State of Mass. made an epic mistake implementing it. Read the facts about the Romneycare for yourself and see what an utter and complete failure it has been.

Obama’s biggest claim to fame or rather infamy in his Presidency was that he spent 2 long years trying to jam this massive government boondoggle down our throats when of 70% of the people polled said they didn’t want national healthcare.

Obama wants more than anything to run against Romney for this reason alone; it’s a sledgehammer he’ll use repeatedly on him. You can bet the main stream media who wants Obama reelected will too if Romney gets the nomination.

I urge my friends and family members to vote for Santorum, he’s not perfect but he’s the best we have in this election cycle. God forbid he doesn’t get the nomination and Romney does. I of course will vote for him in the general but I don’t hold out a lot of hope that Romney has a chance against Obama because of Romneycare or his moderate and some would say liberal record on some of the other key issues.

Thanks for the time and your consideration. VOTE FOR SANTORUM!!!

Newt Win's the South Carolina Primary

Newt wins South Carolina Primary.

I take the SC primary vote with a grain of salt. I’ve been a supporter of Rick Santorum throughout because he is the most principled Conservative left in the race. That said I’m glad that Newt beat Romney because of these 3 he’s my least favorite candidate left in the race.

Newt Gingrich will give Obama a much better fight in the general than Mitt Romney because he’s a weak kneed RINO, he’s not a good debater, he’s far less conservative and if anything he’s more of a moderate Democrat than a principally Conservative Republican.

The best news tonight to come out of the SC primary was that Ron Paul was in dead last which is exactly where he belongs. He was and still is the worst possible choice in the beginning or the end of this race.

The poll numbers on Paul that you see in the media are inflated and fraudulent. They’re completely fabricated by his fanatical group of internet supporters who do nothing but set in front of a computer day after day voting for him in these meaningless polls again and again to make him look as if has more support than he actually has.

I love how CNN in the last 3 months has had him on repeatedly to prop him up hoping and praying that somehow he gets traction because they know and anyone who has political sense knows that Paul is unelectable and as such it helps promote a fraud to give Obama an even better chance for reelection. If you’ve watch this news coverage and believed what they’ve said about Paul you need to wake up you’ve been duped because he’s dead in the water and will never win the nomination. All he is doing now is helping to divide the party further and give Obama that much more of an advantage in the general.

One day a better candidate from the Libertarian Party may finally emerge that doesn’t have as many warts as Paul has. I hope this will end Paul’s race and that this will be his last run for President because he only represents a small fringe of the Republican Party, and in my opinion has been a joke his whole political career. I know I have many friends who support Paul but this is my honest view on him but it's no reflection on you.

Good night Newt, keep up the push and Santorum I hope you pull more votes in Florida because if you don’t I think it’s time you step aside and let Newt finish off Romney.
